Week-End Wrap-Up

2014-Jun-30 To -Jul-02

So gather up your jackets, and move it to the exits.
I hope you have found a friend.
Closing time. You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.
(Part I)

  • Mon – 30 Jun:
    • Isla Isabela: My last day on the island – Sofie booked me a room at Hotel Santa Cruz, I purchased my boat ticket back (6 a.m.!), Marion and Sebastian and I met for dinner. Very relaxed 😉

  • Tue – 1 Jul:
    • Isla Isabela: 6 a.m. is too early for a boat. But none of us got sick.
    • Isla Santa Cruz (Puerto Ayora): Our hold-out salad restaurant was closed! The three of us did a taxi tour to Los Gemelos and the “second-largest lava tunnels in South America”. The lady assured us we didn’t need the lantern because of the electric lights – luckily carrying the lantern is a necessary formality because there was a long stretch where the lights didn’t function. Also lucky that Sebastian had a headlamp and another flashlight in his day pack. Farewell dinner!

  • Wed – 2 Jul:
    • Isla Santa Cruz (Puerto Ayora): Breakfast at the Galapagos Deli and a taxi, a bus, a boat, a bus, and a plane back to the mainland.

View the rest of the week, when I get stuck in Cuenca, Ecuador.
